Operation Supply Drop Partners with UMG Gaming!
Operation Supply Drop recently joined forces with UMG Gaming, a veteran-owned provider of LAN events, eSports infrastructure and hosted competitive gaming tournaments. From the looks of it, this partnership has two goals in mind. For OSD, the goal is to highlight successful veteran-owned businesses to inspire vets that may feel like they have limited career options. UMG’s part, explained by OSD’s Executive Director Glen Banton, provides entertainment and stress relief while also showcasing what is possible when vets pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions. Sounds pretty awesome to me!
“As a veteran, I recognize and appreciate the value of an organization like Operation Supply Drop and we are proud to have them on board beginning with our Nashville event,” added UMG Gaming CEO and Founder, Robert Terkla. “Whether we provide stress relief to deployed troops or recovering wounded veterans, offer a way for others to earn a living in eSports or simply inspire veterans to start their own successful companies doing something they love, we are thrilled to be able to give back to the military community.”
The eSports event will be held on October 10th – 12th in the Nashville Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN. Teams will be competing in CoD: Ghosts for cash prizes up to $25,000. OSD and UMG Gaming will also partner to offer a raffle for numerous prizes. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased for $5 each at the event or online until 12:00pm CST, October 13th. Single and multi-day passes for the event are available at UMG’s website.
