ATLUS is Bringing KOF XIV to North America!

SNK PLAYMORE and ATLUS revealed a new partnership today. The reason for such a union – to bring King of Fighters XIV to the Americas!

KOF XIV marks the first time a main title in the series will feature 3D characters (Maximum Impact was the first 3D installment, but it isn’t a numbered entry). This comes by way of a new engine, which promises streamlined controls and enhanced mechanics. The goal is to create the most competitive, yet accessible, KOF ever. So…yeah, I’m a little excited about its upcoming release in North America.

The game will come with 50 fighters – all available in game at launch – a new Party Battle feature that lets two teams of three battle each other online, and a vastly improved netcode for competitive level play. And of course, the classic 3 vs. 3 battle system has returned as well.

The King of Fighters XIV will be released on the PS4 later this year. Be sure to check back here as we continue to cover this title!
