Bandai Announces Little Nightmares II

Bandai Namco surprised gamers during Gamescom Opening Night. No one expected to see Little Nightmares II. Furthermore, no one expected it to feature a completely new character…

Produced in partnership with Tarsier Studios, Little Nightmares II follows the story of Mono – a boy trapped in a world distorted by the humming transmission of a distant signal tower. Helping him on his journey is Six, the little girl from the first game.

Before you get excited, there is no cooperative options. Players will only control Mono. Six, who can be seen donning her signature yellow raincoat in the announcement trailer, will be controlled by the game’s AI.

Mono and Six’s relationship will play a big role within the story. That of course, extends to the gameplay mechanics; they’ll need to work together in order to survive. Mono will be able to wield a range of items picked and seemingly fight off enemies while Six aids in solving environmental puzzles.

Little Nightmares II looks just as disturbing as the first game (even more so). Which of course is a good thing. Unfortunately, fans won’t be able to jump back into this creepy world until sometime next year, when the game launches on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
