Battlefield V’s Open Beta Launches Next Month!

EA announced today that the Battlefield V Open Beta will launch next month. Showcasing the new Rotterdam and Arctic Fjord maps, gamers will be able to shoot at each other in both Conquest and Grand Operations multiplayer modes.

Fans of previous Battlefield games will be familiar with Conquest. It’s where up to 64 players (split into two teams of 32) fight over control of key locations/objectives on map. The new Grand Operations mode, on the other hand, seems offer a deeper experience. For one, it has a narrative hook; it’ll send players on a “journey inspired by historical events”. It also spans multiple maps and modes – though, I’m not sure how that’ll work considering the Beta will only have two maps to play on.

The Battlefield V Open Beta will begin on September 4th for early access players and September 6th for everyone else (regardless of their platform of choice). Those attending Gamescom will be able to play this week of course.

Battlefield V will be released on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 19th. Be sure to check back here as we continue to follow this title!
