Ubisoft announced a publishing lineup for Assassin’s Creed Origins. In looking to expand the universe, there will be a novel, comic miniseries, and more starting this fall!

Gamers who are looking to learn about Bayek’s (the main character in Origins) youth can check out Assassin’s Creed Origins Desert Oath, a novel published by Ubisoft and written by Oliver Bowden in collaboration with the development team. Taking place before the game, it portrays Bayek as he follows in his father’s footsteps. Then there’s the Assassin’s Creed Origins miniseries – written by Anne Toole and published by Titan Comics – that explores the first years of the Assassins’ Order. It’ll introduce new locations and characters as well as notable historical figures.

The last two books are The Art of Assassin’s Creed Origins and The Complete Official Guide, published by Titan Book and PRIMA Games respectively. Both are self-explanatory, though the art book seems interesting with its concept sketches, city plans, character studies and fully rendered paintings. Throw in some notes from the artists and developers, and you have a pretty cool book on your hands.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will be released on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 27th. The line of books will also be published this fall (though, there’s no clear-cut date). We’ll be sure to share any information we get as things progress!
