Capcom Announces Resident Evil 2 “1-Shot” Demo

Capcom is giving fans a change to play the Resident Evil 2 remake ahead of launch. What’s interesting about this news is that they’ll be playing via a timed demo…

This “1-Shot Demo”, will let players take on the challenge of surviving a zombie infested Raccoon City police station. The catch is that they only have 30 minutes to make it to the end. If they die before hand, they’ll be able to restart the mission of course. But only until they’ve used up the full 30 minutes. At that time, the demo is locked. If they succeed, however, they’ll unlock a new cinematic trailer that’s exclusive to the demo’s participants.

The demo will have players controlling Leon Kennedy as he tries to escape the Raccoon City Police Station. This will be done by solving puzzles, navigating its dark halls, and of course, fending oneself from shambling zombies. Fun times!

The Resident Evil 2 demo will be available from January 11th to the 31st. The game itself, launches on Jan. 25th on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Be sure to check back here as we continue to cover this title.
