Capcom Details SFV’s June Update!

Capcom recently revealed some new details about Street Fighter V’s June update. Called “A Shadow Falls”, this free DLC will give access to the cinematic story mode announced back in January, among other things!

The story mode will depict the events that took place between Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III – where SF III set in the future while IV and V act as prequels. During that time, the evil Shadaloo organization was able to deploy seven Black Moons. This act somehow granted Bison with unimaginable power before enveloping the earth in total darkness. In order to stop Bison and destroy the moons, Ryu, Ken, and Chun-li embark on an epic journey around the world to collect fragmented pieces of (I assume) a powerful artifact. Along the way, they’ll run into the other World Warriors, each of whom has their own agendas in mind.

This is the first time Capcom has tried a mode like this. I’m talking about a cinematic story where players will fight as each character, including the six DLC characters (whether they’ve been released yet or not). Here’s hoping it’ll be as cool as it sounds.

Outside of the story stuff, the new update see Ibuki joining the roster, the in-game currency shop, premium Battle Costumes and addition content not yet revealed. Awesome! Now if we can just get a release date…
