Deep Silver Moves Up Metro Exodus’ Release Date

Deep Silver and 4A Games announced today that Metro Exodus has gone gold. After five years of development, their highly anticipated title is finally ready to ship.

What’s interesting about this news, beyond the fact that development has completed, is that it’ll be released a week earlier than expect. Originally slated to be released on February 22nd, it’ll now hit store shelves on February 15th. This is a good move, considering Anthem is releasing on the 22nd. Though they are different types of games, launching on the same day as that title might have been costly.

Metro Exodus is still sharing the month with other games; it’s releasing the same day as Jump Force. That said, I believe this move will better position its launch. Most of the people looking forward to this game have probably set aside the proper funds anyways.

Metro Exodus is the third game in the “Metro” universe. It’s launching for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on February 15th, 2019. Be sure to check back here as we continue to follow this title!
