Deep Silver and Volition Reveal Agents of Mayhem!

E3 is almost here. And because of that, the web is going to be flooded with (hopefully) exciting video game related announcements. One such announcement comes from publisher Deep Silver.  They recently released a cinematic trailer for the upcoming, Agents of Mayhem – the latest title from Volition.

Those hoping for another Saints Row game from Volition should be happy to learn about Agents. At the same time, those looking for something new (ish) from the developer should be happy as well. Though the game will feature an original storyline, the game will exist as a part of the Saints Row universe. It follows the exploits of a motley outfit of a diverse group of super agents or M.A.Y.H.E.M. (the Multinational Agency for Hunting Evil Masterminds) who’ve been recruited to thwart the schemes of an evil supervillain organization called L.E.G.I.O.N. (the League of Evil Gentlemen Intent on Obliterating Nations). Yup…Volition’s humor seems to be intact…

It makes sense that the next Saints Row game would deal with super heroes/agents and feature over the top gameplay, given the direction of the last one. I’m curious to see how it ties into the main narrative though. I’m sure we’ll hear more during E3 next week!
