DICE Decides to Delay Battlefield V’s Launch!

EA announced today that Battlefield V’s launch date has been changed. Instead of being released in October, it’ll now launch this November. Oskar Gabrielson, DICE General Manager, explained how it’s the fans’ fault…

Ok, so he didn’t explicitly say it was the fans’ fault. More so that it was their feedback that led to multiple improvements; apparently, they had a lot to say during the Close Alphas at E3 and Gamescom. These improvements will be noticeable when playing the Open Beta next week.

“With the Open Beta just around the corner, we are excited about the millions of you who will join us and experience the game. And we fully expect to see even more feedback coming our way,” said Gabrielson. “We know moving the launch date means that we all have to wait a little longer. But we’re going to take our time to make sure we get it right.”

Sounds good to me. Who doesn’t want the best game possible? Besides, October was a loaded month anyways – I’m surprised EA didn’t move the launch just to get away from Black Ops 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Battlefield V will launch on November 20th for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Be sure to check back here as we continue to follow this title!
