Naughty Dog Pushes The Last of Us Part II’s Release Date Back

Naughty Dog announced that The Last of Us Part II has a new 2020 release date. Apparently, the game needs a little more work…

Naughty Dog director, Neil Druckmann, explains on the PlayStation blog how they didn’t have enough time to fully polish the game. “At this point we were faced with two options: compromise parts of the game or get more time.” Said Druckmann. “We went with the latter, and this new release date allows us to finish everything to our level of satisfaction while also reducing stress on the team.”

It’s good to know that Druckmann is concerned about stress. Considering all of the crazy stories surrounding crunch, we can appreciate this move. The game will still fly off the digital shelves. There’s no need to rush.

The Last of Us Part II will now be released on May 29th, 2020. Fans can wait a few more months. Especially if it means getting a better game!
