Nintendo Invites Fans to the Super Smash Bros. Invitational at E3!

Nintendo has revealed more about their upcoming Super Smash Bros. Invitational at E3. Their goal is to host the first ever public tournament for the new Wii U while introducing the world to the gameplay most have been dying to see!

On Tuesday June 10th, Nintendo will welcome 16 previously selected SSB players to the Nokia Theatre L.A live in Los Angeles (Nokia Plaze at L.A, 777 Chick Hearn Court).  There will be 3,000 wristbands given out on a first come first serve basis at 9:30 AM; though you’ll want to get there early, there’s no lining up before that Tuesday Morning. At 2:30 PM the doors will open allowing fans to get seated. At 4 the tournament will commence. Gamers will be able to spectate the action online as well via Twitch’s E3and Nintendo’s Twitch channels.

Attendees who dress up as their favorite SSB characters may be selected for priority seating right in front of the stage. The event will be photographed and filmed, so the best costumes might appear on Nintendo’s YouTube channel!

Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U is scheduled for a winter 2014 launch, with the 3DS version coming this summer.
