Nintendo Modernized Link’s Awakening

Nintendo certainly dropped some bombs on gamers today. Not only did we get updates to popular titles and announcements about upcoming releases, they also made mention that everything in their direct video would land on the Switch this year. That includes a re-imagined version of a classic Zelda title.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening has been modernized for today’s audience. And by that, I mean Nintendo spruced it up so their older fans can share it with their children – or hog it for themselves. Whatever floats their boat.

The game will still feature Link’s journey to the mysterious island of Koholint. Only this time he’ll sport enhanced visuals and (I assume) modern gameplay elements. Like the recently released Resident Evil 2, but cuter.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening looks great. I’m sure it’ll be well received when it lands exclusively on the Switch later this year. Be sure to check back here as we’ll share more information once it’s released.
