Ori and the Blind Forest is Headed to Retail!

Nordic Games partnered with Microsoft Studios and Moon Studios to bring the Steam version of Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition to retail. Coming this June, gamers who like physical versions of their games will get the chance to own this popular platformer!

Nordic is looking to release two versions. The standard version will come with premium packaging, a quickstart guide, the game, and A3 Poster for $19.99. The Limited edition will come with all of those things plus an audio-CD, 2 postcards, and 2 double-sided A3 posters (the packaging is upgraded to a Steelbox) for $29.99. Regardless of which one you pick, you’re getting something worth collecting. That is if you’re a fan of Ori…

“Since we released Ori and the Blind Forest, we’ve received many mails, tweets and requests from fans asking for a boxed retail release, so we’re extremely pleased to finally make everyone’s wish come true,” said Thomas Mahler, CEO of Moon Studios. “We hope that all of you will be pleased with what we’ve put together for this retail release of Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition. We can’t wait to finally see Ori and the Blind Forest on shelves and we once again want to thank all of our fans and everyone who supported Moon and Ori over the last few years – we’re deeply humbled and appreciative, thank you so much!”

If you prefer the Xbox One version, don’t fret. Microsoft will release the Definitive Edition for Xbox One alongside the PC version on June 14th. It run you $19.99, though you won’t get any of the aforementioned items. Still, it’s nice to have the option to get a physical copy.
