Arizona Sunshine Gets a Release Date!
Written By: Kenneth Seward Jr.
Dutch indie developers Vertigo Games and Jaywalkers Interactive announced that their upcoming VR zombie shooter, Arizona Sunshine, will be available this December!
Though it’s long past the original launch window, Sunshine looks great; the extra time spent on development seems to have paid off. The developers look to create a “real” zombie experience in VR. So it has to look good.
The idea is that you’re in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. You’ll have to deal with the undead, scavenge for supplies, manage consumables like water (it’s hot in Arizona during the day) and basically survive against all odds. More interesting than the premise is the inclusion of a campaign mode. Built in bite sized VR chunks, the narrative flows together as you complete each level. Players can experience the campaign with a friend or join a multiplayer Horde mode with three other friends. Basically there will be a lot of zombie shooting to go around.
Arizona Sunshine will be available for the Oculus Rift with Touch support and HTC Vive on December 6th. Those looking to pre-order the game will get a 15% discount via Steam and Humble Bundle.
