Prey 2 Announced!

Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media Company, announced on March 14th that Prey 2 is scheduled for release in 2012. For those of you who don’t know, Prey was one of the first “real” next gen shooters back in 2006. It was developed by Human Head Studios (under 3D Realms) and was critically acclaimed for its cutting edge graphics and unique use of portals. The rights for the sequel were passed on to Bethesda recently. Just like first title, Prey 2 will be developed by Human Head Studios using the id tech engine from id Software (also owned by ZeniMax).

“Prey 2 will provide gamers the opportunity to explore a new facet of the Prey universe, one that offers fast-paced action in an open, alien world. We’re excited to show gamers the title we have been working on and hope they will be as excited by this title as we are” said Chris Rhinehart, project lead.
