Robot Ent. Announces Orcs Must Die! 2!

Robot Entertainment announced Orcs Must Die! 2 today! Beginning days after the ending of the original game, the War Mage gets caught up in a new battle against an army of orcs. The Orcs didn’t want to take another beating, so they’ve enlisted the help of new, vile creatures to take down the mage. Good thing he has help this time; our hero is joined by an ex-War Mage called the Sorceress. Wait…does that mean…?

“In 2011, we implored players to kill the orcs,” said Robot Entertainment CEO Patrick Hudson. “As many as possible.  Yet, only 3.4 billion orcs have been slaughtered to date.  The only way we will get to a respectable orc death toll is by adding another killing machine and cooperative play.  Bring a friend and destroy the orcs!” –Press

Yup, that’s right. Orcs Must Die! 2 will have cooperative play. Honestly, that was the only major issue I had with the first one, especially seeing as how Dungeon Defenders was packed with four player, tower defense awesomeness! OMD!’s lack of co-op was hard to forgive. All is better now though. This new title will also feature a new upgrade system, new enemies, more defenses, and more magical attacks. Nice.

Orcs Must Die! 2 will be available exclusively as a digital download on PC’s this summer!
