Rockstar is Rebooting L.A. Noire!

Rockstar Games announced that they’ll be releasing L.A. Noire for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. An interesting development – surely, I’m not the only person that’s surprised by this news – considering they have other titles they could have re-released with updated graphics and such. Like say, a title featuring a certain cowboy…

LA-Noire-reboot-art What’s even more interesting is that Rockstar is also releasing a new virtual reality version. Called L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, the game will offer up seven select cases from the original game rebuilt specifically for the HTC Vive system. As someone who missed out on L.A. Noire the first go round, I may just check this version out.

“We’re excited to bring L.A. Noire’s unique mix of real detective work, classic Hollywood atmosphere and thrilling action to these new platforms,”said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games.  “Now with a choice of spectacular virtual reality, stunning 4K, or the freedom of portable play, these enhanced versions are a perfect opportunity for players to experience this richly detailed world in a whole new way.”

L.A. Noire will be available on the Switch, PS4 and Xbox One come November 14th. It’ll of course come with all of the previously released DLC, upgraded visuals (up to 4K for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X) and more. The VR version should be landing on the same day, based on the wording from the press release.
