Saber Interactive Announced a World War Z Title!

Saber Interactive announced a four-player cooperative zombie shooter at last night’s award show. What’s interesting – besides it being yet another zombie title – is that it’s based on World War Z…

Looking at the World War Z the game, it looks reminiscent of the movie and not the book; it features past moving, climb-over-each-other to get to their victim zombies. That said, it will focus on the unique survivor stories found in the book. Basically, I don’t know what to expect.

Players will need to use traps, barriers and the environment to stay alive. Gun, I assume, will be useful as well. What I want to know is how the game’s missions will adhere to the stories from the book. A lot of them don’t include people fighting off zombies with a multitude of weapons. Some didn’t fight at all; they were looking to flee their immediate area as soon as possible. Whatever the case, I hope there will be some unique elements that’ll make World War Z stand out from other titles of this ilk.

World War Z is expected to release sometime in 2018 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as things progress towards release!
