Sony Announced The PlayStation Classic

Sony recently pulled a Nintendo in announcing their own classic system. Featuring two enough nostalgia to choke a horse – because that’s totally possible – the new-ish system will be released in time for the holidays!

Dubbed the PlayStation Classic, the miniaturized console will come with 20 pre-loaded titles that include the likes of Final Fantasy 7, Tekken 3, Ridge Racer Type 4, and Wild Arms. I’m expecting (read: hoping) to see titles from seemingly defunct franchises; who wouldn’t want to play Syphon Filter again?

The PlayStation Classic will also come with an HDMI cable, a USB cable, and two controllers. It’ll be available on December 3rd, a historical date (the original system launched on Dec. 3rd 1994). Fans looking to pre-order in hopes of actually getting it in time for Christmas can do so now.
