Capcom Releases Resident Evil 7 Demo for PSVR!
Written By: Kenneth Seward Jr.
Capcom recently released the notorious “Kitchen” demo for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Included on the demo disc as part of the PSVR headset package, gamers who’ve invested in Sony’s latest peripheral are in for a treat…
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (known as Biohazard 7: Resident Evil in Japan) is the next installment of the poplar franchise. Taking place after the events of RE6, the game follows the story of Ethan as he searches for his missing wife. Things obviously take a turn for the worse; footage depicts him being captured by a deranged family cannibals.
Besides the new protagonist, we’re also getting new gameplay elements – this is the first RE that will be played from a first person view (not counting Resident Evil Survivor series or the rare arcade titles), hence the ability to play the game using the PlayStation VR headset. The “Kitchen” demo offers a quick and intense glimpse of what it will feel like to play the full game in VR. If the demo proves a little too “real”, don’t fret. The VR experience is completely optional, allowing you to swap between the standard and VR mode at any point while playing.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will be released on January 24th, 2017 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Be sure to check back here as we continue to cover this title!
