Spiders’ Mars War Logs is Coming This Spring!

A new RPG title will be making its way to XBLA, PSN and PC later this year. Developed by Spider Games (Faery: Legends of Avalon, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes), this new title looks pretty interesting to say the least!

Mars War Logs is a game that takes place on the red planet in a cyberpunk universe…that alone is enough to warrant further investigation. You play as a character named Roy, who apparently has to save the planet. That’s all we know about him for now. That said, the game does look cool.

No word on if the game is 3rd person, first person, etc. The press release did say that the battles are in real-time, so that’s something. From the teaser you can see Roy taking out a bunch of soldiers using a melee weapon and electricity that flows from his hand (think BioShock). You’ll be able to choose his combat style using different skills and perks. The styles range from stealth and trickery to more combative roles.

Apparently there will be consequences for your actions; dialogue choices will change how Roy is perceived among the colonies. Beyond the choices, I want to know more about the story. How did they get to Mars in the first place? Hopefully, we’ll find out more soon!

Mars War Logs will be released in Spring 2013!
