Square Celebrates FF XIV: A Realm Reborn’s Third Anniversary!

Square Enix recently held a 14-hour live broadcast for Final Fantasy XIV*, where producer/director Naoki Yoshida could showcase new game content and address fan feedback. It also allowed the developer and fans to celebrate the game’s third anniversary!

More than six million players are exploring, questing, crafting and battling giant monsters together. To keep the ball rolling, Square is releasing a new patch on September 27th. Called Patch 3.4 (Soul Surrender), it’ll have new main scenario quests, dungeons, trials, the final stage of the eight player raid Alexander and more. If that wasn’t enough, the Rising seasonal event will offer up fun activities and exciting in-game rewards. Both the patch and event were explained in more detail during the broadcast.

Square’s “re-do” of an MMO seems to be doing well. They are certainly keeping things fresh; is crazy that characters from Yo-Kai Watch have made it to FF XIV’s world. Hopefully, the game will have many more anniversaries as fans continue to adventure with one another.
