The Master Chief Collection Has Gone Gold!

Microsoft and 343 Industries happily announced that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection has gone gold. Fans can actually start downloading/pre-installing the game later today!

Being able to download the game(s) now might seem a little premature. That is until you realize how long it could take; the game will be 45 GB at launch. Along with that comes a content update that is estimated to be another 20 GB. Of course, if you wait till launch day, you’ll be able to play some of the game before it completely downloads (mainly one of the campaigns).

This shouldn’t come as a surprise being that the collection will house Halo 1-4 and all of the DLC released on console and PC prior to this bundle. It also features a remastered version of Halo 2 with all new audio and cinematics. The only thing it’ll be missing at launch is the ten Spartan Ops missions from Halo 4. Microsoft expects to release them all at the same time in December though.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be released on November 11th (14th in certain territories) for the Xbox One. There’s no word on when gamers will receive access to the Halo 5 multiplayer beta just yet. Of course, we’ll let you know as soon as we find out!
