Ubisoft Announces The Division 2’s “Operation Dark Hours” Launch Date

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2’s “Operation Dark Hours” is almost upon us. Starting May 16th at 12pm ET (9am PT), fans will be able to dive the game’s first raid. That is, if they’ve reached the proper level…

Being the first eight-player raid in Division history, Ubisoft is promising to present the game’s toughest challenges. For that reason, players will need to have reached World Tier 5 (and defeated Tidal Basin) before they’re given access to the Washington National Airport. Apparently, the Black Tusk is using it to fly in reinforcements and supplies. If agents want to stem the tide of Black Tusk soldiers patrolling the streets, they’ll need to hit the airport hard.

This of course is no easy task. Remember, the raid will feature the toughest opponents seen in The Division 2. That includes bosses that’ll require coordinated attacks to take down. The players who succeed will be rewarded with exclusive loot – new gear sets, exotic weapons, and more.

Cool loot isn’t the only prize being offered. There are also social accolaids up for grabs. The first group to complete the raid will have a team photo taken/displayed in the Division 2’s White House for all other players to see. Anyone who completes Operation Dark Hours between May 16th and May 23rd will receive a commemorative Arm Patch. Those of us who do so after those days will be rewarded with a clan banner icon and a special trophy. Basically, everyone will be given some bragging rights for completing the first raid.

Operation Dark Hours seems like it’ll be a solid addition to The Division 2’s end game. Here’s hoping it launches without a hitch!

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is an overly repetitive shooter. And yet, it still entertaining...for the most part.
