11 bit studios announces Frostpunk: The Board Game

11 bit studios recently announced that Frostpunk was getting the tabletop treatment. Co-created by 11 bit and Glass Cannon Unplugged, a new tabletop game studio, Frostpunk: The Board Game is poised to provide a challenging experience.

Frostpunk: The Board Game will feature the same type of moral dilemmas seen in the original game. Up to four players can become leaders of a small colony during a second ice age. They’ll need to manage the colony’s citizens – who will issue demands and/or react to player-based changes – as well as its infrastructure.

The going will get tough. That said, the board game is supposed to be easy to learn; the game’s complexity shouldn’t keep new players at bay. 11 bit wants to make sure that everyone can and will be entertained.
