Asobo Releases A Plague Tale Music Featurette

Asobo Studio released a music featurette for their upcoming title, A Plague Tale: Innocence. The presented song (By The River) offers a small taste of what’s to come.

The 12-song soundtrack was composed by Olivier Deriviere. Looking to complement the game’s dire atmosphere, the music should be able to invoke a sense of wonder and dread (depending on what’s going on at any given moment). With a solid resume – he’s known for the music found in games like Vampyr, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Remember Me – and the featurette below, it would seem that he was able to accomplish this goal.

The video also features the work of another Olivier. Namely Olivier Ponsonnet, Asobo’s art director, who speed paints a portrait of Amicia (one of the game’s protagonists).

The soundtrack will be available on vinyl as a part of a pre-order bundle for the PS4/Xbox One versions of the game. Those that aren’t able to find this bundle can grab the soundtrack digitally, when it releases alongside A Plague Tale: Innocence on May 14th.
