Bethesda Announces New Fallout DLC!

Bethesda has announced their plans for upcoming DLC for Fallout New Vegas! For all those who game on the PC and PS3, don’t worry. Bethesda will be realizing the DLC simultaneously on all three platforms at a launch. The first one up, available May 17th, is Honest Hearts. This DLC will take players to Utah’s Zion National Park, a new place to explore outside of the Mojave. Apparently your caravan gets attacked by a tribal raiding band, throwing you head first into a conflict between two warring factions. It will also shed more light on the Burning Man (a mysterious fellow mentioned in Dead Money). The second DLC pack called Old World Blues will be released in June. Gamers will be exploring the Big Empty while learning how some of the Mojave’s mutated monsters came into existence. You’ll need to find new technology to fight off kidnappers or join forces with them to face an even greater threat.

The last of the packs, Lonesome Road, will be available in July. This pack will finally let gamers face the original Courier Six, the man who refused to take the Platinum Chip package (who then past it on to you) at the start of New Vegas. Name Ulysses, this courier will explain why he didn’t take the package if you agree to do one more mission. This mission will lead gamers to the canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms. I can’t wait to find out all the answers this July. I am pretty sure I am not the only one, seeing as how both New Vegas and the Dead Money DLC were great in their own right. Saying that these packs are a must by for fans would be an understatement!

All downloadable content for Fallout: New Vegas will be available for download on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points, PSN for $9.99, and both Steam and Direct2Drive for $9.99.
