BioWare In Guinness!

The 2012 Guinness World Records Gamers Edition was released recently. For those of you who don’t know, this series of books are always packed full of awesome gaming achievements that span the previous year. While we can’t list all of the achievements (go buy the book) we did want to point out one that was pretty cool. BioWare (with LucasArts and EA) was officially recognized by Guiness for having the largest Entertainment Voice Over Project ever! Star Wars: The Old Republic had over 200,000 lines of recorded dialogue that was performed by several hundred voice actors; easily out doing any game or feature film in the “voice” department. Man, that’s a lot of talking.

Being a Star Wars, LucasArts, and BioWare fan, this is awesome news. The record is included in a two-page spread that pays homage to 30 years of Star Wars gaming facts. It even goes back to take a look at all the games, starting with the first game created back in 1982 on the Atari 2600, all the way up to the Old Republic! Guinness made sure to show the series love with all the fact, figures, and record findings. They even made their own top ten best Star Wars games list. Check it out:

1. Knights of the Old Republic
2. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
3. X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter
4. Empire At War
5. Rogue Squadron
6. Jedi Outcast
7. Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
8. Republic Commando
9. Star Wars Arcade
10.The Force Unleashed II

UFG salutes BioWare for their achievement!
