Blizzard Reveals Diablo Immortal at Blizzcon

Blizzard Entertainment announced a new Diablo during Blizzcon. It wasn’t Diablo 4…which is apparently what fans were hoping for. Instead, Blizzard revealed Diablo Immortal, an MMO action RPG for mobile devices.

Diablo Immortal will feature six iconic characters – the Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, and so on – who’ll traverse the dark work of Sanctuary while dispatching all sorts of demonic enemies. Co-developed by Blizzard and NetEase, the game will allow for multiple players to dungeon crawl together using controls adapted from its console counterpart; you’ll use touchscreen directional controls to move about and hold buttons to aim abilities, before releasing them on monsters.

The game takes place between Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and the beginning of Diablo III. Which means Diablo Immortal’s story is cannon. Skarn, one of Diablo’s lieutenants, looks to resurrect him by gathering fragments of the corrupted Worldstone.

Fans looking to pre-register their characters, unlock special rewards, and participate in the coming beta tests, can do so here. Everyone, regardless, should keep it locked here for more game related news.
