Capcom Announces Two More Characters for MVC3!

More and more announcements are flowing in from Capcom during CES. This time we got word on two new characters. Long time Final Fight favorite Mike Haggar has join Capcom’s squad of fighters. By the looks of it, Haggar not only comes equipped with his wrestling moves, but also an iron pipe (one of the weapons used in Final Fight). I am once again surprised at Capcom’s willingness to pull characters from older franchises. The next character comes from the Marvel side of things. Jean Grey has been revealed to be a playable character this time around. Not only that, she has the ability to turn into the Dark Phoenix when her life gauge gets low. This gives her a huge boost of power with the end result being the total annihilation of her opponents. To be fair she has to have a full Hyper Combo gauge before her health reaches zero to pull this off. Also, her life will constantly go down while in Dark Phoenix mode. I still don’t know how I feel about this. Capcom’s versus games tend to attract some of the worlds cheapest players. Let’s hope this doesn’t give them something else to abuse. We’ll have to wait till the game is released this February to fine out. Till then take a look at the full roster so far and screenshots of the new combatants!
