Daylight Gets New Release Date!
ATLUS revealed more information about their upcoming survival horror title, Daylight today. Amongst things like price point and new release date, there’s also a new trailer to check out.
First things first, Daylight has a new release date. The reason being that the procedural generation added more time to the development process; having random elements in an environment makes it difficult to land the proper scares tactics. That said, based on ATLUS’ press release, everything is good to go. Daylight will now be released on the PS4 and PC on April 29th!
In response to the date being pushed back, there’s going to be a price cut on the game. Starting on release day and lasting two weeks, PS+ members will be able to download the title for $9.99 ($11.99 for non-subscribers). Those who pre-order Daylight before April 29th will get the game for $9.99 as well. After the promotional period the price will go back to $14.99. Nice!
The last bit of news came in the form of a newly revealed environment. The last location gamers will need to trek through is the hospital. Yup, the hospital from the beginning of the game only this time, things are different. There is no trash, graffiti, overturned beds – no, it looks like it did when it was first built…
Will Daylight feature time travel? I doubt it. Still, it sounds like things are going to go from weird to creepy and back again. Basically, I’m looking forward to being scare out of my mind in the next few weeks!
