Dungeon Defenders Gets Summoner Class!

I swear Dungeon Defenders has to be one of the most content stuffed, digital titles released in the past year. Every time I turn around, Trendy ENT. is adding more content for gamers to dive into. They range from new Bosses to fight, new maps to wage war in, and even new character skins (the Penny Arcade character pack stands out). This time they’re giving fans a brand new class to play as called the Summoner!

Available on Steam for $3.99, this new class of hero is way more than just a new face. The Summoner successfully changes Dungeon Defenders into an RTS game. Instead of placing defenses, the Summoner can…well…he can summon his own army to protect the Eternia Cystals.

Using Overlord Mode, you can control these minions from a top-down RTS style perspective. That’s not all he can do:

Key Features:

•    Play Dungeon Defenders like an RTS, summoning and controlling your own minions
•    Use Overlord Mode to supervise your army from a top-down perspective
•    Issue a variety of commands to control your troops
•    Equip two pets simultaneously
•    Levitate for up to 15 seconds

Abilities:
•    Phase Shift: Move your ghostly avatar around the physical realm while remaining immaterial and unseen by enemies.
•    Flash Heal: Cast a spell which instantly heals all allied units and defenses within a radius.

If you haven’t bought Dungeon Defenders yet…what’s wrong with you?

Like most of this game’s DLC, this class probably won’t show up for the XBLA/PSN versions!
