EA Releases Information on Battlefield V’s Battle Royale Mode!

EA has finally revealed what Battlefield V will offer fans at launch. Whether it be the new overarching Tides of War system or the battle royale mode (Firestorm), we’ve got the nitty gritty on what’s going on…or rather, we went and watched the “This is Battlefield V” trailer…

Eight multiplayer modes, a campaign, and more will be available at launch. The real draw however, was Firestorm – a battle royale mode where sixteen teams of four will fight till the last squad standing using an assortment of firearms and vehicles. Check out the trailer/information video below to see what I mean:

EA also talked about improved gameplay mechanics, including bettering shooting and movement; allowing gamers to sprint while crouched was a smart move. Adding to this is the ability to fortify buildings that have suffered damage, build bridges, and dig fox holes. DICE has really gone all out on this upcoming entry.

Battlefield V is looking like the shooter to get this year. We’ll of course keep an eye on this title as it gets closer to launch!

Battlefield V will be released on November 20th for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The Open Beta is currently underway for those who pr-ordered the game – it’ll be available to everyone tomorrow at 1pm PTD (4pm EST).

Editor’s note: We originally said that the Beta was underway. We’ve changed the article to reflect our mistake (it’s only available for to those who pre-ordered Battlefield V).
