Focus Home Interactive Announces Othercide
Focus Home Interactive and Lightbulb Crew recently revealed Othercide, a gothic tactical RPG. Coming to multiple platforms this summer, this dark strategy is poised to provide a gripping experience.
Lightbulb didn’t share much Othercide; the stylish trailer below doesn’t provide any concrete details. What we do know is that players will be controlling an army of Daughters (echoes of a once great warrior) as they go about fighting various monsters.
The game’s combat is turn-based. Players will need to plan their approach if they hope to be successful; setting up chained actions, leading to powerful assaults, while interrupting enemy attacks is a sound tactic.
Beyond the turn-based mechanics, the game will also sport roguelite features, an interesting sacrificial system (the ability to kill one Daughter to make another stronger) and more.
Othercide will be showcased at PAX East at the Focus Home booth (#29017) from February 27th to March 1st. It’ll release something this summer on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We’ll of course, keep you updated as things progress.
