Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a spin-off of the hit Metal Gear Solid series. That said, it still part of the canon – it takes place four years after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots – even though it focuses on action packed, hack and slash gameplay over stealth.
