GTA V Gets A Release Date!

Rockstar Games announced today that Grand Theft Auto V is expected to launch for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 17!

“Grand Theft Auto V continues to push the series forward in new ways; Rockstar North are creating our deepest, most beautiful and most immersive world yet,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We are very excited for people to learn more about the game in the coming months.” –Press

This date moves the launch back from its original spring 2013 window. With three different protagonists that can be swapped during play, the biggest sandbox in GTA history and more, allowing for additional development time should come as no shock. What hasn’t been talked about yet is Rockstar’s “new ambitious approach to open world multiplayer”. As eager as I am to jump into the main campaign, I really want to see what they have in-store for the multiplayer component.
