Kane Hodder Plays The Killer in Upcoming Slasher Game!

First of all, how in the world did I miss hearing about Summer Camp – a game that harks back to 80’s slasher films that features Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees)  as the killer? Seriously, when did the stars align?

For those of you who, like me, missed the memo, Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp is being developed by Gun Media. It’s a third-person horror survival game where the players take on the roles of either a teen counselor or the killer. It will support up to 6 to 8 players in a large, arena style map (that looks just like Crystal Lake based on the concept art). My guess is it’ll play like Evolve but instead of 4v1, 7 teens will go up against Jaso…I mean, whoever the killer is.

FX icon Tom Savini will assist in the motion capture work. The goal is to record all the character’s movements, including their deaths at the hands of the killer.

It’s safe to say I’m looking forward to this game. I’m not sure how it’ll work and I haven’t seen any gameplay footage, but the premise is intriguing. There’s been no word on a release date other than it’s coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. We’ll be sure to keep you update (now that we know of the game) going forward!
