Lords of the Fallen Dev Reveals The Surge!

Deck13 Interactive recently shared some screens from their upcoming action RPG, The Surge. Showcasing the title’s hero, gamers will get a glimpse of his exoskeleton in action…

For those that don’t know, Deck13 co-developed Lords of the Fallen – and a stylish action RPG akin to Bandai Namco’s Dark Souls. This fact alone would make me interested in their next game. However, the premise seems cool as well. Set on a dystopian Earth nearing the end of its life, advancement in technology has nearly destroyed everything we’d hold dear. Ironically, that same technology will be our saving grace.

The Surge’s hero will don an exoskeleton that’s capable of being upgraded with armor, weapons, and equipment ripped from enemies. The combat will feature a unique dismemberment system to allow for such upgrades. Some items will be gain through crafting; blueprints will be needed in order to create the desired piece of equipment.

Deck13 hasn’t shared that much about The Surge. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we hear more though. As of right now, it’s something to put on the edge of your gaming radar!
