Microsoft Releases Scalebound Gameplay Trailer!

Developed by PlatinumGames (Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance), Scalebound’s story follows a young longer named Drew who is pulled into a strange world called Draconis. Somehow during his journey he gets bounded to a noble dragon named Thuban. Together they must defeat a powerful enemy that threatens Earth, Draconis and a vast universe of parallel worlds. Sounds like fun!

You can customize Thuban, choosing his main shape before evolving his appearance over time; I’m guessing what wearable gear. This was shown in the trailer towards the end (which seemed to hint at a multiplayer mode of sorts). He’ll also develop new abilities and attacks over time. This includes chainable attacks with Drew that can devastate the battlefield.

Scalebound launches sometime next year exclusively for the Xbox One. We’ll be sure to keep you posted as things develop!
