Morgan’s Out. Patrick’s In!

Other Ocean Interactive (Ultimate Mortal Kombat on DS, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on Xbox live) has announced their narrator for the upcoming The War of the Worlds video game. No, it’s not Morgan Freeman. They were able to get Sir Patrick Stewart to be the voice behind this upcoming title!

“As a young boy, I remember watching the The War of the Worlds so many times I was quoting the lines,” said Stewart. “The alien invasion both terrified and fascinated me and the movie has stuck with me since then. Now, being part of this project will provide a new way for gamers around the world to experience a fresh new take on a classic.”

This is awesome news to say the least. Everyone loves Captain Pica…I mean Professor Xav…er…Sir Stewart! I can’t wait to get my hands on this title when it releases later this year. For those of you unaware, The War of the Worlds is based off of the classic H.G Wells novel (not the terrible movie with Tom Cruise). It is a 2D cinematic platformer similar to games like Flashback and Out of This World. Be sure to check it out on Xbox Live and PSN!
