NetherRealm Reveals Injustice 2’s First 3 DLC Characters!

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios revealed the first three DLC characters for Injustice 2 today. Red Hood, Starfire, and Sub-Zero will be jumping into the fray something after the game releases…

Not a surprising move, announcing extra characters, considering they’ve done this with their past few fighting games. They tend to do a good job with how they roll them out – especially in the MK series, which is only second to Smash Bros when it comes to a great line up. I mean, Jason and the Predator in the same game? Basically, I’m excited for the roster additions even though the game isn’t out yet.

WB went on to announce that fans can get these extra characters one of two ways (for now). They can get the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, which includes nine additional characters, three premiere skins that transform select fighters into alternate characters (with new looks, voices, and dialogue) and two exclusive new Gear Shaders. The second way is to get the Digital Deluxe Edition, which comes with the first three DLC characters, a premiere skin and an exclusive Gear Shader. These two editions will cost gamers $99.99 and $79.99 respectively. I’m sure there will be a way to buy each character separately post launch, so there’s no rush to grab either of these editions…unless you just can’t get enough Injustice.

Injustice 2 will be available on May 16th. Sub Zero, Red Hood, and Starfire are still in development; they’ll be released sometime after launch.
