Nintendo Announces Game Inspired 3DS XL Models!

I hereby proclaim that Nintendo is the king of “models”. They’ve release more colors/versions of their consoles than any other video game company; while everyone is getting excited about the white Xbox One and PS4, Nintendo is dropping video game inspired awesome in 3DS form!

One of the new colors comes in celebration of the launch of Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS. The 3DS XL’s cover features Smash Bros game characters including Mario, Link, Samus, Little Mac and more. Gamers will be able to pick it up starting September 19th.

Next up is a call back to the early days of Nintendo gaming. Going on sale October 10th is a GameStop exclusive 3DS XL that’s modeled after the iconic NES controller. Just gorgeous, though the box is even better!

Last but not least is the GameStop exclusive, Persona Q 3DS XL. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is coming in November, so why not grab this cool blue console?

“More than 12 million systems in the Nintendo 3DS family have been sold in the U.S. alone,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “These new models give shoppers even more choices during the holiday shopping season. Based on past experience, these special editions likely won’t stay on shelves for very long.” 

Each console will run gamers $199.99 (games aren’t included). I’m sure these will be a hit on Black Friday!
