Nintendo Announces Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Bundle!

Nintendo is launching a series of bundles for the Nintendo Switch. A normal occurrence heading into the holidays, these major stocking stuffers are headlined by the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Special Edition bundle!

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Special Edition bundle comes with the obligatory steel case (adorned with the SSBU logo), the game, and the new Ultimate Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. The bundle will run gamers $139.99, roughly the same as buying the game and controller separately – the controller will cost $74.99. So really, the bundle is here for those looking to own the neat steel case…

Of course, the bundle will launch on December 7th, the same day SSBU is made available. Before that though, gamers will be able to pick up starter pack versions of popular Switch titles. Starting September 28th, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, and Super Mario Odyssey will come bundled with colorful strategy guides (centered on each game respectfully) for $59.99. The idea is seems to be to help give newer players a jump start on their adventures after purchasing a new Switch.

Nintendo isn’t really known for great discounts or awesome deals – their consoles and game typically take forever to drop in price. That said, it’s nice to have a bundle available during peak shopping hours; packages that feature multiple items vs trying to find them all separately. This is especially true during the holidays.
