No Man’s Sky Gets a Release Date!

Well…we finally have a release date for the highly anticipated No Man’s Sky. Launching this June on the PS4 and PC, gamers will be traversing the universe from their couches in no time!

The release date was announced by Sean Murry, Managing Director at Hello Games, on Sony’s PlayStation Blog. Not only that, but he also revealed that the game will have a retail version (with the normal retail price of $59.99). This is a good thing; he goes on to talk about all of the extra stuff they were able show to the press. Like say, some new alien races we’ll be able to communicate with, hazardous planets, and more.

Sean felt that releasing the game at this price would make it possible to keep supporting No Man’s Sky post launch with free content. Which frightens me – this game already has the biggest sandbox in gaming. Do we really need more planets to explore?

No Man’s Sky seems to be one of the most ambitious undertakings in gaming. Hopefully everything pans out when it’s released on June 21st (22nd in Europe).
