Pid Gets an Easy Mode!

Now this is what I like to see. Might and Delight, developers of the awesome Pid, listened to the critics and fans about the difficult gameplay found in their first title.

If you read my review (or any review) of Pid, you’d know that while it is a great game, it can be quite tough to complete. In some spots, the peaks in difficulty are so high that it turned off a lot of gamers. So, to address this, Might and Delight are introducing Easy Mode!

In the new mode, the levels feature redesigned layouts, shorter boss fights, and less-crowded environments (meaning fewer enemies on screen at a given time). They also made some changes to the normal mode, allowing for a gradual rise in difficulty this time around. Now before you get upset, just note that they aren’t dumbing down the game. These adjustments were made to provide a fair, yet challenging experience. The key word there is “fair”.

These changes will make this platformer even better than it already is. Might and Delight even released a demo via Steam to give gamers a taste of the improved title; console gamers will get the demo later this year. If you haven’t purchased Pid yet then I’d recommend doing so now!

Pid has well designed levels, intricate platforming puzzles, and clever bosses. However, the discontinuous difficulty may keep gamers from experiencing all this game has to offer.
