Rewatch The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Reveal
Infinity Ward is looking to shake things up with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This reimagined take on their past efforts is offering a gritty/realistic depiction of war – a unified thread that’ll permeate each mode of play. This of course, includes the various multiplayer modes the series is known for (though to a lesser extent).
Yesterday, via a reveal trailer and streamed matches, fans were given a decent look at Modern Warfare’s multiplayer modes. The fast-paced combat seemed more chaotic than ever. But in a good way; the new killstreaks, night mode, and vehicles really spiced things up.
That’s not to say that it was all about running and gunning. The players who worked together, used cover, and basically played strategically as a team, won often. This held especially true when Activision showcased the new multiplayer modes.
Again, Infinity Ward is trying to shake things up. It’s hard to say if this modern version of Modern Warfare will be as game changing as it once was. That said, it still looks like a great time for CoD fans.
