Saber Reveals WWZ Character Classes/New Publisher

Saber Interactive recently released a new trailer for their upcoming cooperative shooter, World War Z. This one focuses on the game’s character classes and how their abilities and weapons can be utilized against the zombie hordes.

There are six playable classes in all. They range from the Gunslinger, who packs ammo-boosting perks, to the Medic, who’s able to heal teammates from a distance. There are some overlap; the Fixer supplies ammo like the Gunslinger, for instance. He has some perks that make him more suitable for certain situations though. Check out the trailer below to see what I mean.

Saber Interactive also announced that they’ve partnered with Focus Home Interactive to release WWZ on multiple platformers; Focus will be in charge of the worldwide digital distribution of the game through the PS4/Xbox One store fronts. I assume physical copies will come later. Maybe through another publisher (Paramount?), considering that the PC version isn’t being handled by Focus. Whatever the case, the game seems to be on schedule for it’s 2019 release.

World War Z is a four-player cooperative shooter inspired by the film and the book – it’ll feature elements from the film but will focus on unique survivor stories like the book. The game will be released on the PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2019.
