SteamWorld Quest is Coming to Steam

Image & Form announced that SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech is coming to Steam sooner than expected. Anyone running Windows, macOS or Linux will be able to play this May.

It seems like the exclusivity period on the Switch was short lived. Though it was revealed that the game would eventually end up on other platforms. We just assumed that it would be ported later in the year; not a month after releasing on the Switch. This isn’t bad news of course. SteamWorld Quest is a great game and should be accessible to more players. I’m just wondering if this move indicates a shortage of sales on the console…

That’s probably not the case, considering that Quest is the second best-selling SteamWorld game at launch (SteamWorld Dig 2 holds the top position). Also, this is the first time we’ve heard about the game being ported; there’s been no word on when or if the game will land on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Whatever the case, we’re glad to see that the game is coming to the PC. Everyone should be able to play one of the better indie titles to be releases this year!

SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech will be available on Steam starting May 31st. Feel free to read our review of the Switch version (posted below) in the meantime.
