Techland Releases New Dying Light 2 Trailer
Techland released a new Dying Light 2 trailer during Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference. Introducing the game’s protagonist, Aiden Caldwell, and The City – a post-apocalyptic, modern dark-age outpost – the trailer gives a grim look at Dying Light’s world.
Taking place fifteen years after the events of the first game, humanity has turned on itself (more so than before). Factions vying for power fight it out in the streets during the day. At night, the infected take over. Rushing from abandoned buildings and dark basements, they present a significant threat to anyone out after dark. And by anyone, I mean Aiden.
The interesting thing about Aiden – besides his parkour and fighting skills – is the fact that he’s infected. If you’ve play through Dying Light: The Following then you know what that means for our hero…
Dying Light 2 looks great (and yes, I’m aware that this is a story trailer). Techland is using a new generation of their C-Engine, resulting in some nice visuals. I look forward to seeing more as we get closer to its Spring 2020 launch.
Dying Light 2 will be released for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC sometime next year. Be sure to keep here for more E3 news.
